Dr. Brett Cerqua
I grew up in Scarborough, Ontario and spent over 30 years in the big city of Toronto. During high school I enjoyed playing hockey and rugby and I worked as a sports and seasonal associate at the local Canadian Tire. I graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Neuroscience and went on to complete my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree four years later. I was voted President of the Dental Student’s Society during my final year of dental school. Following dental school, I was accepted into a general practice residency at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center where I completed additional training in oral surgery and I received my certification in IV sedation dentistry. I am a long-standing member of the Ontario Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry. I am a strong believer in lifelong learning and I strive to better myself with regular continuing education. Recent areas of interest include a mini residency in implant dentistry, advances in root canal therapy, and pediatric dental care. I aim to provide an environment for my patients where questions are encouraged and patients leave well informed and satisfied with the treatment I provide. I felt I needed to branch out and explore Ontario as I had spent so much of my life in the same place. I have held associateships in Toronto, Brockville, Madoc, Belleville, and Trenton Ontario. I have been a resident of Belleville since 2009 and wanted to find a practice that was close to home so I could be more involved with my growing family. Dr. Smith and I have enjoyed a good working and personal relationship since my arrival in 2009. He is a highly respected practitioner and a person that I have tried to emulate since my arrival to the Quinte Region. My personal interests include working out, playing hockey, watching movies, travelling, and playing guitar. I also enjoy cooking and giving back to the community. I support local youth hockey and soccer, Big Brothers and Sisters of Hastings and Prince Edward County, The Salvation Army, the YMCA, and the Frankford Youth Center. In September of 2011, I married a small town girl from Perth Ontario. On November 24, 2013, my wife Melinda and I celebrated the birth of our daughter Charlotte and we just recently welcomed our little boy Oliver in June 2015. I hope to meet you all very soon. Just let me know if I can help you in any way.

Dr. Rayan Ghandour
I was born and raised in Brampton, Ontario. I studied Dentistry at Beirut Arab University where I was 1 of 43 students accepted out of a pool of 800 applicants. During my time in university I also did research and had an article published in the oral health journal in September of 2014 and a poster presented at the international academy of dental research (IADR) convention in Boston, MA in March of 2015. After receiving my bachelor’s degree, I moved back to Brampton and began preparing for the rigorous National Dental Examining Board (NDEB) exams.
"I chose to go into dentistry because of my passion for the health sciences and dentistry’s unique blend of science and artistry. It gives me great joy knowing that I can enhance a patient's confidence with cosmetic dentistry and help get someone out of pain."
I have experience caring for people of all ages and backgrounds having worked in private practice, and also in non-profit settings. I am committed to providing the highest quality dental care while creating a comfortable and caring environment for my patients. I enjoy volunteering in the community and have provided dental care through the Global kindness foundation to Orphans and the less fortunate in surrounding areas of war torn Iraq .
In my downtime I enjoy reading, cooking, traveling, exercising, and meditating. I also love spending time with my family and friends, and I look forward to meeting you all very soon.

I am the newest dental assistant to join the East Hill team, and this is my first career opportunity since graduating from college in April 2019. I graduated from high school in 2018, and chose to continue my educational journey into something which I loved.
